The Salford Community Step Out to Complete Foundation 92’s Stroll for Salford

Salford came together on Saturday for the first Stroll for Salford, with Foundation 92 supporters, joined by one of our Founders & Class of 92 legend Paul Scholes. Sponsored by Camptech Products Limited the event required participant to walk a 6-mile route across the city in tough weather conditions to raise vital funds for local community projects.

Starting at Hotel Football, the walkers made their way through the heart of the city, stopping at the National Football Museum before crossing the finish line in Salford at the Peninsula Stadium, home of Salford City FC. Along the way, participants shared stories of how Foundation 92 has supported them, creating an atmosphere of inspiration, togetherness, and pride in the community.

Participants completed the route ahead of Salford City’s home clash against Grimsby Town. Every registered walker received a special event T-shirt, a completion medal, and a complimentary match ticket for the game.

Akash Parmer, Camptech Director who completed the walk said:
“It was a fantastic day filled with community spirit, generosity, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact in Salford. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who took part — from the tireless walkers to the dedicated volunteers and generous supporters. Your energy and enthusiasm truly made the event something special.

Events like this remind us of what is possible when we come together. From all of us at Camptech — thank you for making Stroll for Salford 2025 such a memorable and meaningful day. We’re proud to be part of it.”

The event was filled with energy, with participants capturing videos and photos of the journey, which were shared across social media to highlight the collective effort.

Thanks to the generosity of donors and the dedication of those taking part, the walk has so far raised £2279 – funds which will go directly towards supporting Foundation 92’s programmes which will continue to improve lives through sport and deliver a number of wide-ranging programmes that have significant impact across our local communities

One participant reflected on why they joined the walk:
“I’m doing the Stroll for Salford as a thank you to F92. They provided a special matchday experience for my nephew last season, so I want to give back!”

Foundation 92 would like to thank everyone who took part, donated, and supported the event. Together, the Stroll for Salford has once again shown the power of community spirit.
