Earlier this year, we were delighted to partner with Salford Foodbank as our March Charity of the Month, an initiative that highlighted the power of collaboration and community spirit.
Thanks to the generosity of our partners, supporters, and fans, we were able to donate a significant volume of food to Salford Foodbank. Contributions included hundreds of boxes of cereal, additional food items, and matchday collections, all helping to strengthen the foodbank’s vital provision for local people in need.
In total, these efforts contributed to helping feed 812 people in just one month, a powerful reminder of the impact that collective action can have.
Beyond donations, the partnership also helped raise awareness of the essential work carried out by Salford Foodbank. Foundation 92 was proud to welcome clients and volunteers to enjoy a matchday experience, offering a well-deserved opportunity to come together and feel part of the wider community.
Emma Rapley, Foodbank Manager at Salford Foodbank, said:
“Thank you so much for the support given to our foodbank clients last month. The cereals, crisps, and other food donations were a fantastic addition to what we are normally able to provide. Promoting our work is always invaluable, and giving our clients and volunteers the opportunity to enjoy the match experience was a real treat.
It was such a pleasure to be invited to meet the team at the ground. Thank you again for selecting us as your Charity of the Month.”
Reflecting on the partnership, Foundation 92 Fundraising Manager Dale Mulgrew added:
“Having Salford Food Bank as our latest Foundation 92 Charity of the Month has been a powerful demonstration of charities working together for the benefit of our Salford communities.
As well as donating a significant volume of food to Salford Food Bank through our partners, we have also helped to shine a strong spotlight on the invaluable work they deliver. Long may this partnership continue.”
This collaboration is a testament to what can be achieved when organisations come together with a shared purpose. From food donations to raising awareness and creating memorable experiences, every contribution has played a part in supporting those who need it most.
We encourage our community to continue supporting Salford Foodbank—whether through donations, fundraising, or volunteering, so that together, we can keep making a difference across Salford.
