Foundation 92 CEO recognised on Football Black List 2025

Foundation 92 is proud to announce that our Chief Executive Officer, Martin Ingham-Griffith, has been named on the prestigious Football Black List 2025.

The annual Football Black List celebrates the most influential Black figures across the game, recognising outstanding contributions both on and off the pitch. Established to highlight excellence and inspire future generations, the initiative shines a light on individuals making a lasting impact across football and wider communities.

Martin has been included within the Practitioners category, acknowledging his leadership and commitment to using football as a force for positive social change.

Since joining Foundation 92 in 2025, Martin has led the organisation through a period of growth and ambition, spearheading work that supports people to improve their lives through, education, health & wellbeing and community engagement programmes.

This recognition reflects not only his leadership, but also the collective impact of the Foundation 92 team, partners and participants who continue to drive meaningful change across Salford and beyond.

Speaking about his nomination Martin said:

“I’m incredibly grateful and honoured to be recognised on the Football Black List. It’s a powerful initiative that celebrates achievement while shining a light on role models who inspire the next generation. This recognition reflects my community, the colleagues I’ve had the privilege of working with throughout my career, and the collective effort of everyone connected to Foundation 92 and Salford City Football Club.

The Football Black List plays a vital role in promoting representation and showing what is possible. I’m proud of the progress we’ve made and excited to continue championing inclusion, creating opportunities and helping ensure football is a space where everyone can see themselves and succeed.”

The Football Black List highlights individuals who are shaping the future of football in a positive way, particularly in areas where representation has historically been lacking. By celebrating role models across leadership, coaching, media and grassroots delivery, the initiative continues to inspire the next generation.

Martin joins a distinguished group of honourees from across the football ecosystem, including players, coaches, executives and community leaders, all recognised for their influence and contribution to the game.

All recipients will be honoured at a celebration event tonight in Westminster, bringing together leaders from across the sport to recognise excellence and progress within football.

This recognition is a proud moment for everyone connected to Foundation 92. It reinforces our mission to use the power of football to inspire, educate and transform lives, and to ensure that opportunities within the game are accessible to all.

We congratulate Martin on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to continuing our work together to create lasting impact in our communities.
