Foundation 92 Announces Return of Local EFL Kids & Girls Cup Tournaments for 2025/26

Foundation 92 is delighted to confirm that our Schools Football Tournaments are back this November, as part of the 2025/26 EFL Utilita Football Kids & Girls Cup competitions.

These exciting annual tournaments will once again take place at Salford Sports Village, giving local schools the opportunity to showcase their footballing talent, teamwork, and community spirit, with the ultimate prize of representing Salford City FC at Wembley Stadium.

Tournament Dates

  • Girls Cup (U13- Year 7&8)Tuesday 25th November, 10am-1pm
  • Kids Cup (U11- Year 5&6)Thursday 27th November, 10am- 1pm

Both tournaments will see schools from across Salford and Greater Manchester competing for a place in the regional rounds of the EFL Utilita Football Cups. Winners will go on to represent Salford City FC on the regional and potentially national stage culminating in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play at Wembley.

The EFL Utilita Football Cups provide a powerful platform for young people to develop their skills, build confidence, and learn valuable lessons through sport. Foundation 92 proudly delivers these competitions locally, supporting the EFL in the Community’s mission to use football as a force for positive change.

Speaking ahead of the tournaments, Emily Ashworth, Foundation 92’s Head of Education, said:
“These tournaments are a highlight of our schools calendar every year. They give young players a chance to experience competitive football in a supportive and inclusive environment and the possibility of playing at Wembley is something they’ll never forget.”
