Foundation 92, Irwell Valley Homes, and Jigsaw Homes join forces to support the community in Haughton Green through sports activities and mentoring.
The three organisations recently set up this programme to support the community through sports activities to improve community cohesion, healthy lifestyles and mentoring services to improve the understanding of employment and education.
Maria Garnett, Community Investment Manager at Irwell Valley Homes, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Foundation 92 with funding from the Irwell Valley Foundation. We’re committed to supporting the young people of Haughton Green, where we own and manage over 1,000 homes. Through the sports activities and mentoring services, and by working together with other housing associations, we can improve and make a difference for the young people in this community”
Sarah Keenan, Jigsaw Foundation Manager, said: “Without a doubt, the core focus of the partnership will be to concentrate on sustainability, creating better community cohesion, and improving the health and wellbeing of our residents. We’re aiming to make a significant impact in the Denton community where Jigsaw Homes owns and manages 1,655 properties. We look forward to working with Foundation 92 over the coming months to get reports, case studies and review the social impact of the project”.
Tom Hutton, Head of Foundation 92, said: “Foundation 92, working in partnership with Jigsaw Foundation, and Irwell Valley Foundation, we are going to deliver a range of services in Denton and Greater Manchester to support young people and families to live more active, engaged and positive lifestyles. We’re going to be delivering range of youth and family support services. We’re looking forward to making an impact in the community through this imitative.”
