Fans attending this Saturday’s special centenary fixture between Salford City and Gillingham are being encouraged to make a difference in the local community by supporting a food collection organised by Foundation 92.
As part of the celebrations, the club’s official charity is partnering with Salford Food Bank to collect essential food items for those in need across the city.
Supporters are kindly asked to bring along a tin or any non-perishable food item when attending the match. Donations can be dropped off at designated collection points located:
- Outside the club shop on the Moor Lane side of the ground
- Outside the West Turnstile on the Nevile Road side
Collection bins will be available from 1:30pm until just before kick-off, making it easy for fans to contribute on their way into the stadium.
This centenary match is not only a chance to celebrate Salford City’s history but also an opportunity to give back to the local community. Every donation, no matter how small, will help support individuals and families facing food insecurity in Salford.
So, as you get ready to cheer on the Ammies, consider bringing along a food item and showing your support for both Foundation 92 and the Salford Food Bank. Together, fans can help ensure that local people in need receive vital support during challenging times.
