Salford based Class of 92 backed charity, Foundation 92, will be hosting winter holiday camps over the festive period, aimed at children across Greater Manchester, who receive free school meals, following a successful summer period. 

The activities funded by The Department of Education’s Holiday Activity Fund range from arts and crafts to sports and music and will run at various locations across Salford and Greater Manchester from Monday 19^th of December to Friday 23^rd of December.

Part of a national campaign, this scheme is aimed to keep young people in safe, fun and interactive environments during the festive period. Young people will receive a free healthy meal each day supporting their growth and development.  

In December, Foundation 92 with thanks and support of Salford City Council, Trafford Council, Bury Council and Manchester City Council, Manchester Active, aim to provide 390  free places during the course of the week.

Head of Foundation 92, Tom Hutton said: “We are delighted once again be able to provide the children of Salford and Greater Manchester access to this great programme. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends, spend time outdoors and have a great time in a constructive manner. 

“Families don’t always have access to disposable income to allow their children to attend holiday camps as they are usually expensive. All of our activities in this programme are completely free and I’d like to thank all our incredible partners for coming together and making this happen for young people across the region this winter.” 

The Winter Holiday Camps are open for 8–16-year-olds and will run from Monday 19^th of December to Friday 23^rd of December.
