Launching this October Foundation 92 will run two bespoke programmes providing exercises and support to individuals living with Arthritis and those with joint point pain.

This programme is the first of its kind, with the Foundation set to create a local hub for members of the Greater Manchester community to visit for classes.

The first strand of this programme will be daytime classes that have been designed to support those living with chronic Arthritis, and individuals who struggle to get active. These classes will involve; exercises to help with pain management, referral support and advice on lifestyle changes to manage the condition.

The second element of this programme will be evening based classes that have been designed to support those suffering with joint pain with no diagnosis.

Head of Foundation 92, Tom Hutton, said: “As a Foundation we understand the hardship that this condition can cause and working with Versus Arthritis we hope to help many individuals suffering with Arthritis and joint pain in the community. The new hub that will be created for this programme will act as a safe space for individuals suffering with the condition to visit and gain vital support to help to manage the pain.”

Versus Arthritis, Kelly Harman, said: “As a national charity supporting people with arthritis, we are thrilled to be working with Foundation 92 to support local people living in Greater Manchester to manage their condition. The project will provide local vital support, whilst also raising awareness of the support and services Versus Arthritis offer.”
