Salford based Class of 92 backed charity Foundation 92, will be hosting summer holiday camps, aimed at children who receive free school meals across Salford and Greater Manchester this summer following a successful Easter period. 

The activities funded by The Department of Education’s Holiday Activity Fund range from arts and crafts to sports and music and will run at various locations across Salford and Greater Manchester from Monday 25^th of July to Thursday 25^thAugust.

Part of the national campaign, this scheme is aimed to keep young people in safe, fun and interactive environments during the summer months. Young people will also receive a free healthy meal each day supporting their growth and development.  

Throughout Summer 2022, Foundation 92 with thanks and support of Salford City Council, Trafford Council, Bury Council and Manchester City Council aim to provide 410 free places per day, striving to deliver over 7,000 meals.

Head of Foundation 92, Tom Hutton said: “We are delighted to be able to provide the children of Salford and Greater Manchester access to this great summer programme. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends, spend time outdoors and have a great time in a constructive manner. 

“Families don’t always have access to disposable income to allow their children to attend holiday camps as they are usually expensive at this time of year. All our activities in this programme are completely free and I’d like to thank all our incredible partners for coming together and making this happen for young people across the region.”

The Summer camps are open for 8-16 year olds and will run from the 25^th to the 19^th of August.
