Foundation 92 are working with the NFL Foundation UK to deliver the NFL Flag programme across Salford and Greater Manchester.

The initial two-year partnership will see the charity work with teenagers who are at risk of violence, offending, and anti-social behaviour.

Across the first year of delivery, the Foundation will support People Referral Unit’s through the delivery of a six-week personal development programme for students to learn about NFL Flag and understanding the importance of discipline in the sport.

Foundation 92 will also work with Refugee families across Greater Manchester by offering a weekly drop-in session designed to develop communication and decision-making skills.

Finally, the charity will support young people with Learning Difficulties through the delivery of a six-week programme, teaching students about NFL Flag and the importance of discipline in the sport.

Foundation 92 is also delighted to have a British American Football Coaches Association (BAFCA) Level 1 qualified, dedicated member of staff, who will lead on the delivery of the NFL Flag programme across Salford and Greater Manchester.

Head of Foundation 92, Tom Hutton, said: “It’s fantastic to have partnered with the NFL Foundation UK. The NFL Flag programme will further diversify our offer as a charity across Salford and Greater Manchester. We’re looking forward to supporting and educating young people who could be on a path to risk-taking behaviour, through the NFL Flag programme.”
