Members of our Girls Emerging Talent Centre enjoyed a truly unforgettable experience this weekend as they walked out as official mascots ahead of the fixture between Salford City and Manchester City.
Taking to the pitch in front of a packed crowd, our players had the opportunity to stand side by side with the teams as the atmosphere built ahead of kick-off. For many of the girls, it was their first time stepping onto a professional stage of this scale, a moment that will live long in the memory.
Experiences like this are a powerful reminder of what the Emerging Talent Centre pathway is all about. Beyond developing technical ability and game understanding, we are committed to building confidence, broadening horizons and inspiring ambition. Seeing the players walk out with pride, composure and huge smiles perfectly reflected the spirit of our programme.
The day was not only special for the girls, but also for their families and coaches, who continue to support them on their football journeys. Opportunities to be part of matchday environments help bring those journeys to life, allowing players to visualise the levels they can aspire to reach.
We are incredibly proud of every player who represented Foundation 92 and our Girls Emerging Talent Centre so brilliantly. Find out more about our Emerging Talent Centre: https://foundation92.co.uk/our-work/community-engagement/young-people-programmes/emerging-talent-centre/
