Salford City Stars Inspire Young People at Foundation 92’s Kelloggs Football Camp

Salford City FC players Ade Oluwo and Rosaire Longelo brought smiles and football insight to Foundation 92’s Kellogg’s Football Camp yesterday, joining a group of young participants for a day of football fun, questions – and invaluable encouragement.

Hosted by Foundation 92, the community-focused charitable arm co-founded by the Class of ’92 and associated with Salford City, the camp aims to provide free football coaching and life-positive experiences to local youngsters. The visit by Oluwo and Longelo underlined the club’s ongoing commitment to youth engagement.

During the session, the duo signed certificates, interacted with kids on the pitch, and fielded questions from enthusiastic participants keen to learn from professional players. Their presence added that extra spark – showing the pathways and inspiration football can offer beyond weekend matches.

Foundation 92’s mobile and stationary youth initiatives have been making meaningful local impact, working across Greater Manchester to support young people through sport, wellbeing, and opportunity. This camp—back for its second year in partnership with Kellogg’s and the EFL—has already delivered over 30,000 free places across the country.

Jess Peers, Head of Programmes said:

“It’s always special when the players come down. The kids look up to them, and just a few minutes of interaction can make a massive impact. It’s more than just football—it’s about building confidence, motivation, and lasting memories.

With League Two action underway, this off‑pitch activity helps reinforce Salford’s role as more than just a football club—it’s a community hub with genuine local involvement.

Foundation 92’s summer football camps continue through the summer—free, fun, and full of opportunity. Salford City players are expected to make further appearances, helping to inspire the next generation of local talent.
