The brand-new initiative, called the ‘Volunteer Transfer’ will see volunteers from both Foundation 92 and Denis Law Legacy Trust work across both of the charities’ key programmes and will involve the exchange of volunteers between the two Foundations to facilitate experiences of new cultures, people and places.

Volunteers give their time, passion, and energy to achieve change. Every day, the enormous range of skills, experience, and expertise that they bring make both charities stronger, enabling both to reach more people, establish wider networks and make a positive impact in the communities they support.

This exciting new initiative will support Foundation 92 and Denis law Legacy Trust to develop and learn from one another to shape the future legacy of the organisations for its participants and volunteers.

Earlier in the year, the two charities twinned their respective Cruyff Court operations supported by the Johan Cruyff Foundation in a move that will provide a range of positive activities for young people in Aberdeen and Salford.

Head of Foundation 92, Tom Hutton, said: “We’re delighted to be running this initiative alongside the Denis Law Legacy Trust. The programme will enable our volunteers to experience different people and cultures in Aberdeen whilst also learning a range of skills that will benefit them in their everyday life.

Denis Law Legacy Trust Volunteer Officer, Nikki Fyfe added: “This Volunteer Transfer will enable our volunteers to experience new places and activities down in Salford, that they may not have been able to experience otherwise. It will also allow us to learn from our friends at Foundation 92, making both charities and our volunteer experiences stronger in the long run.”
