St Mark’s Shine at EFL Kids Cup Regional Finals

Foundation 92 proudly accompanied St Mark’s C of E Primary School to the EFL Utilita Kids Cup Regional Finals yesterday, held in Chesterfield. Representing Salford City FC after winning our local stage back in December, the team showed incredible determination, teamwork, and spirit throughout the competition.

Competing against some of the best school teams from across the north of England in the EFL Kids Cup, the boys delivered an outstanding performance. Match after match, they rose to the challenge, demonstrating their footballing ability by winning 8 of their 10 group games.

Their journey took them all the way to the final, where they faced a Notts County in a closely contested match. After an intense battle, the game was decided by penalties, with St Mark’s narrowly missing out on victory, and a dream trip to Wembley.

Despite the heartbreaking finish, the team’s achievement is nothing short of remarkable. Reaching the regional final is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and passion for the game.

Everyone at Foundation 92 & Salford City FC is incredibly proud of the players and their efforts. They represented both their school, Salford City FC and Foundation 92 with pride and professionalism.
