Foundation 92 is delighted to announce that Salford Foodbank has been selected as our Charity of the Month for March 2026!
Salford Foodbank is a Salford-based charity who believe no one in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why they provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by Trussell, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
Foundation 92 is proud to support their vital work. As Charity of the Month, Salford Foodbank will receive a Foundation 92 merchandise pack, 20 tickets to a Salford City FC game, a donation of Kellogg’s cereal to support their beneficiaries, and recognition on our social media channels, including dedicated announcement and feature posts.
This week we hosted a special presentation and photo opportunity at the Peninsula Stadium to celebrate Salford Foodbank and publicly acknowledge the incredible contribution they make to wellbeing in our region.
Emma Rapley, Foodbank manager at Salford Foodbank said:
“We don’t think anyone in our community should face going hungry. At each of our seven distribution centres, Salford Foodbank volunteers offer a warm welcome, a cup of tea, and distribute 250 emergency food parcels every week, containing three days’ nutritionally balanced food, to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We cannot continue to do this without the support from our local friends and businesses – thank you so much to Foundation 92 for selecting to support us this month, you are making a difference locally.
