Pupils at Butterstile Primary School enjoyed a memorable morning as our Founder & Class of 92 member Paul Scholes visited the school for a special assembly, delivered in partnership with Foundation 92.
The former Manchester United player shared stories from his illustrious playing career, offering pupils a unique insight into life at the highest level of the game. He spoke about dedication, discipline, and the importance of working hard to achieve your goals, inspiring pupils throughout the session.
Children were also given the opportunity to ask questions directly, covering topics such as training routines, memorable matches, and life after professional football. The interactive Q&A provided a rare chance for pupils to engage with one of the most decorated midfielders of his generation.
As part of the visit, pupils were recognised for their achievements and positive behaviour, receiving rewards and encouragement from Scholes himself. The morning was rounded off with signing sessions, creating unforgettable memories for the children involved.
Opportunities like this are part of Foundation 92’s commitment to using the power of sport to inspire and raise aspirations in young people across Greater Manchester.
