Foundation 92, supported by its December to Remember campaign partners and volunteers, has successfully delivered 1,784 presents to help spread Christmas cheer across Salford and Greater Manchester following what has been a challenging year for many local families.
Special guests supporting the distribution of gifts across the community included Salford City FC first team and academy players, alongside Foundation 92 partners Kuits Solicitors, Clarion Futures (the charitable foundation of Clarion Housing Group), JMW Solicitors, One Energy and Transport for Greater Manchester.
Foundation 92 would like to thank B&M Retail and all campaign partners for their incredible generosity, including the donation of 1,200 presents. Their support enabled the Foundation to extend its reach and ensure more people across Salford and Greater Manchester could enjoy a happy and positive Christmas.
Three days of community gift deliveries
Across three days, Foundation 92 delivered presents to communities and partner organisations throughout the region.
On Monday 15 December, Foundation 92 visited the estates surrounding Sutton Community Centre and the Kersal estate, with partners braving wet weather conditions to spread festive joy across Salford.
On Tuesday 16 December, the Foundation supported local charity partners including Community Little Hulton, Loaves & Fishes, Walking with the Wounded, Children’s Services and Salford Lads & Girls Club, contributing to their Christmas campaigns.
On Thursday 18 December, the Foundation 92 team was joined by Salford City FC players Ade Oluwo, Kelly N’Mai & Brandon Cooper at Lark Hill Community Primary School, where presents were delivered to every child at the school.
Throughout the rest of December, Foundation 92 continues to support young people across the community by delivering free-to-access Holiday Activity Camps in Sale.
Ahead of the gift deliveries, Foundation 92 partners and businesses from across Greater Manchester helped collect and wrap donated presents. These included Salford City Football Club, University Academy 92, Kuits Solicitors, Transport for Greater Manchester, NatWest Monton, Network Rail, Onward Homes, JMW Solicitors and Bupa UK Foundation.
