Auction prizes included a round of golf with Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt and a luxury weekend stay at a newly refurbished cottage in the Lake District.

Sixteen teams played in the competition including NODE Technologies, OBI, Kuits, Co Op Live, Green Shield Group and Consumer Links.

Tom Hutton, Head of Foundation 92 said: “We are delighted with the response to our Golf Day and the huge amount of money raised which will make a real difference to the Foundation. It was a brilliant day, and we are already really looking forward to hosting this again next year.”

Bentley Motors were headline sponsors at the event showcasing a number of their luxury vehicles at the entrance of Dunham Forest Golf Club.

Funds raised from the Golf Day will go towards Foundation 92’s work across programmes that focus on community mentoring, youth empowerment and family support, helping those most vulnerable to lead healthy, positive and inclusive lifestyles across Greater Manchester.

Plans are already in place for next year’s golf day, with several teams already signed up.
