St Mark’s CE Primary School Crowned Salford Schools Centenary Cup Champions at the Peninsula Stadium

The Peninsula Stadium, home of Salford City FC played host to an exciting day of schools football this week, as 15 schools from across Salford competed in the Salford Schools Centenary Cup.

After a fantastic day of action on the pitch, St Mark’s CE Primary School were crowned champions, securing the Centenary Cup title following an impressive tournament performance.

Foundation 92 would like to offer huge congratulations to St Mark’s on their achievement, as well as to Mesne Lea Primary School, who finished the competition as runners-up after a brilliant tournament.

The tournament provided young players with the opportunity to experience football in a professional stadium environment, while celebrating teamwork, sportsmanship and participation alongside schools from across the city.

Events such as the Salford Schools Centenary Cup continue to play an important role in bringing schools together through sport and creating memorable experiences for young people in the local community.

Foundation 92 hopes everybody involved enjoyed their day at the Peninsula Stadium and would like to thank all participating schools, staff and supporters for contributing to a successful event.
