Thanks to a £40,000, two-year donation from the Veterans Foundation and a £20,000 donation from Salford City Council, Foundation 92 is delighted to be welcoming two new staff members that will focus on the charities work within the community for Veterans of the Armed Forces and Blue Light Services.
Euan Stewart will be heading up Foundation 92’s veterans work as the charities Inclusion Manager. His role will be focused around growing the charities programmes further to support more veterans across Salford.
Euan Stewart, said: “I’ve supported veterans in the community for several years, I have been working my towards a role such as this one and I’m delighted to be here. I’m looking forward to supporting veterans that may feel isolated within the community and engaging them in our programmes.”
Steven Delaney will be supporting Euan Stewart as the charities Veterans Support Officer. Their role will be focused on supporting the growth of the veterans’ programmes across Salford.
Steven, said: “Supporting veterans in the community is something that I’m really passionate about, I can’t wait to get started. Through our work I’m aiming to embed ourselves into the community to create that sense of safety for veterans who do find themselves isolated and lost.”
