Premier League Kicks Tournament Brings Salford Communities Together at the Peninsula Stadium

Young people from Foundation 92’s Premier League Kicks programme came together this afternoon for a special community tournament at the Peninsula Stadium, home of Salford City F.C.

Participants from Premier League Kicks groups across Salford competed in a series of matches, enjoying the opportunity to play in a professional football environment and represent their local communities on the stadium pitch.

For many of the young people involved, the tournament marked their first experience of playing at a professional football ground, creating a memorable day both on and off the pitch.

The event celebrated the power of football to bring communities together, with teamwork, respect and enjoyment at the heart of the day’s activities. The tournament also highlighted the continued impact of the Premier League Kicks programme in providing safe, positive and engaging opportunities for young people across the region.

Foundation 92 would like to congratulate everybody who took part and thank all staff, partners and volunteers who helped make the event a success.
