Pupils at Christ Church CE Primary School were treated to a special visit from Salford City FC players Haji Mnoga and Zach Awe, as part of the club’s ongoing community engagement work.
The players joined the school for a full assembly, where they spoke about their journeys into professional football and the dedication required to succeed in the game. Pupils listened intently as the duo shared their experiences, offering valuable insights into life as professional athletes.
Following the assembly, Haji and Zach spent time in classrooms across the school, taking part in Q&A sessions with pupils. The sessions gave children the opportunity to ask questions about training, matchdays, and the challenges and rewards of playing professional football.
The visit left a lasting impression on pupils, who were inspired by the players’ stories and enthusiasm.
To round off the day, students were gifted free tickets to Salford City’s final home game of the season, giving them the chance to support the Ammies in person. Excitement is already building, with many pupils looking forward to cheering on their local team.
Initiatives like this highlight the power of sport to engage and inspire young people, strengthening the connection between Salford City FC and the local community.
