Foundation 92 and Mary Earps Launch New “KeepHERS” Programme to Inspire the Next Generation of Goalkeepers

Foundation 92 is proud to announce the launch of an exciting new initiative in partnership with England international goalkeeper Mary Earps, MBE – The KeepHERS Programme.

Designed to empower and inspire young girls across Salford and Greater Manchester, KeepHERS will provide dedicated goalkeeping sessions, mentorship and development opportunities, helping participants build confidence both on and off the pitch.

The programme forms part of Foundation 92’s ongoing commitment to creating inclusive opportunities for young people through sport, supporting physical wellbeing, personal development and access to pathways within football.

KeepHERS has been created to address the lack of accessible, specialist opportunities for girls interested in goalkeeping, a position that has traditionally been underrepresented in the women’s game.

Through a series of free, structured sessions delivered in Salford, participants will benefit from:

  • Specialist goalkeeping coaching
  • Skill development and technical training
  • Mentorship and confidence-building activities
  • A supportive, inclusive environment designed specifically for girls

The programme aims to break down barriers and show young players that there is a place for them at every level of the game.

The programme will build directly on our existing Girls ETC, Premier League Kicks, and school sessions, creating clear entry points, progression routes and links to Salford Lionesses and the wider female football pathway.

Session days and timings:

  • Goalkeeping specific sessions will be delivered in our partner schools and after school clubs Monday-Friday
  • At our Girls ETC sessions each week
  • Special taster sessions during May Half-Term (dates & times tbc)
