Foundation 92 partners with Kellogg’s to promote workplace wellbeing with Greater Manchester staff.

Foundation 92 has formed a new partnership with Greater Manchester based cereal giant Kellogg’s as an official Workplace Wellbeing partner.

The collaboration is focussed on supporting health and wellbeing for Kellogg’s Manchester based colleagues and their families.

With Foundation 92 as an official partner, Kellogg’s colleagues based across its Manchester sites in Trafford and MediaCity will benefit from two tailored programmes, designed by the charity to enhance and maintain physical and emotional wellbeing – both inside and outside of work.

Foundation 92’s Workplace Wellbeing programme will invite  the company’s employees to take part in regular group exercise classes – comprising of Yoga, Pilates and HITT in Kellogg’s newly built health and wellbeing hub at its Trafford Park manufacturing site.

The charity will also offer Kellogg’s employees the opportunity to take part in monthly family sessions focussed on alternating themes, such as wellness, fun physical activities and the maintenance of healthy lifestyles.

The new partnership is be building on the success of Foundation 92’s breakfast clubs at 25 Salford primary schools. Kellogg’s has supported the initiative for over a year and continues to do so with the donation of over 1,500 healthy breakfasts, along with a range of activities – improving school attendance, attainment and helping alleviate hunger.

Tom Hutton, Head of Foundation 92, said: “It’s a real privilege to form this new partnership with Kellogg’s – a renowned, international brand with such a strong track record for supporting the communities, as well as doing the right thing by its people and their families.

“We strongly believe that no child in Greater Manchester should go to school hungry. Last year we were able to provide more than 1500 free breakfasts to local children and their families through Kellogg’s generosity and we are aiming to provide 1800 more this year.”

Paul Wrigley, Manufacturing Director at Kellogg’s Manchester factory, said: “We are very proud to have formed this partnership with Foundation 92 and to be able to offer increased wellbeing support to our people. We know how important it is to lead a healthy lifestyle and we hope that our colleagues across Manchester are able to make the most of the exercise classes and family activities available to them.

‘’Kellogg’s has been supporting breakfast clubs in the UK since 1998, so we’re delighted to also be supporting Foundation 92 with their own breakfast club initiative by donating cereal to schools across Salford.’’
