The Holiday activity fund (HAF) is a funded opportunity for children and young people to access fun, creative, and active holiday camps for FREE during the Easter holidays.

School holidays in particular can be pressure points for some families because of increased costs (such as food and childcare) and reduced incomes. For some children, that can lead to a holiday experience gap, with children from disadvantaged families:
- Less likely to access organised out-of-school activities.
- More likely to experience social isolation.
- More likely to experience ‘unhealthy holidays’ in terms of nutrition and physical health.
Children who are identified as ‘free school meals’ (FSM) children are the targeted group who are eligible for the holiday courses. All participants will receive a free hot meal each day alongside a variety of activities, crafts, games & prizes to be won.
Programmes Manager at Foundation 92, Jess Peers said: “The holiday activity fund is a fantastic, funded project that allows children and young people to access activities that they wouldn’t normally receive. This can enrich a young person’s life as they will experience new things or simply provide a safe haven for children outside of school term time.”
