Our Cause

Throughout the pandemic, tens of thousands of Greater Manchester residents have faced extreme hardship and disadvantage, which has negatively impacted their mental wellbeing.

We are delighted to welcome Redstone Accountancy as sponsors of our event

Such increases in mental health inequalities have led to increased pressure on Mental Health Services, meaning more people are waiting longer to receive support than they should be. Examples of the negative impact the pandemic has had on Mental Health are as follows;

Working with qualified counsellors, Foundation 92 would like to create a brand new, supplementary free to access counselling service.

This service will provide individuals living with mental health conditions the opportunity to work exclusively with qualified counsellors, providing each individual with 30 hours counselling.

Specialist hubs will be created throughout Greater Manchester, in particular focusing on the following geographical areas;

Salford. Trafford. Hulme. East Manchester. Tameside.

Together we will help provide a total of 3000 hours of free counselling to 100 of Greater Manchester’s most vulnerable individuals.

How to get involved

Throughout the months of August and September 2021, Foundation 92 will be running a number of events which will help raise much needed funds, enabling Foundation 92 to sustainably support a minimum of 100 young people living with mental health conditions in Greater Manchester.

Message from our event partner

Craig Watts, Managing Director, Redstone Accountancy

Being a proud Salfordian and as a local business owner I wanted to get involved in helping the local community and to be able to give something back.

There has been, at times, bad press about the area but you cannot doubt the community spirit that exists here. There have been so many examples of this over the years, many of which I have been lucky enough to witness.

As well as the fantastic community spirit there have also been some huge success stories with many accomplished business owners having grown up in this area. At times this success may have been achieved against all odds but they have accomplished many things through their hard work, grit and determination.

It is my dream to bring these people together as a business community, not only to celebrate this success but also to inspire and help the underprivileged young people around us and to demonstrate that regardless of your geographical area you can still be a success.

When I started to look for a charity for the event, I wanted one that epitomises what I wanted to achieve and one that shares the same beliefs that I do. Foundation 92 were the perfect fit for this. The metal health programme will change so many young people’s lives in the area and give them a chance to achieve and maximise their own potential.”
