Wellbeing Hub
In the summer of 2023, Foundation 92 launched a Wellbeing Hub in Stockport to support those on probation with rehabilitation and community reintegration.
The Wellbeing Service was jointly commissioned by Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS).
The service is partnership led by The Big Life Group comprising of 11 local Greater Manchester organisations. The mission is to make sure that people have all the tools, information and support they need whilst on probation.
Foundation 92 delivers the Wellbeing Hub for people on probation in Stockport to support and motivate them to make positive changes to a wide range of areas in their life including physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, family, and relations, building social connections, money management skills, access to training and employment and empowering people to take the best possible steps to move forward in their lives.
The Wellbeing Hub exists to prevent and reduce re-offending, recall rates and crime in the community. People are supported using a person centred, strength based and trauma informed approach to improve their wellbeing and circumstances.
Support is delivered via one-to-one key working sessions that involve goal setting, referral to external specialist services and signposting to community where necessary.
The Hub currently offers interventions that include counselling sessions, coffee and chat mornings, a six-week wellness course, boxing, yoga, arts & crafts workshops and football mentoring sessions to enable individuals to change and rebuild their lives and improve their wellbeing.
The Hub can be accessed via a referral from a probation officer.
