Breakdown

For every Salford City home league fixture, Foundation 92 invites guests to experience The Peninsula Stadium through the following initiatives.

Mascots

There are 2 mascots at each home game invited by Foundation 92, and these will be given to deserving individuals in the community. Each mascot will receive 2 free tickets (one for the mascot and one for a parent/guardian).

Ball Assistants

Ball Assistants have an important role in ensuring that there is a ball ready on the cones for the players to collect. There are 8 ball assistants and a coach required each game. The ball assistants and the coach will be on the guestlist, and each assistant will receive a free ticket for their parent/guardian to attend the game. This is a really important role and offers a unique way to watch the game.

Due to the importance of this role, it is currently only open to U13's and above.

Team of the Week

Foundation 92 invite two teams of the week to each home game and each team receives 18 free tickets for the game. These are to be distributed between the players, coaches, and parents as teams see fit. This is a great opportunity as weather providing and at the approval of the ground staff, the teams of the week will get the opportunity to take penalties against Billy the Lion on the pitch. If the weather does not allow, there will be photo opportunities with Billy the Lion at half-time.

My Special Day

This programme is delivered in partnership with FreeKicks Foundation. This initiative supports deserving young people who have gone through difficult times in their lives. Every match day, Foundation 92 and FreeKicks Foundation invites a child aged 11 to 12 to the game to be a mascot, feature in the official programme and receive a free Salford City shirt. Each child is given 4 match tickets as part of this offer to invite family members to the game also.

Little Lions

Foundation 92 invites year 3 classes from schools across Salford to games to feature at the match as the clubs Little Lions. The charity works with local schools throughout the year to offer this opportunity. Each child receives two match tickets to be accompanied by an adult.

Across each season, Salford City players show their support for the community by visiting Foundation 92’s programmes to meet with members of the community, and offer their advice and guidance through the following forms:

  • Q & A sessions
  • Coaching physical activity
  • Presenting match tickets
  • Community visits

Foundation 92’s works with both Salford City men’s first team and women’s team players as well as academy scholars.
