Foundation 92 supported by December to Remember campaign partners and volunteers from several partners, has successfully delivered 2,000 presents, and over 500 Salford City Football Club match tickets (kindly donated by Salford Van Hire) to spread some cheer this Christmas after what has been a challenging year for many throughout Salford and Greater Manchester.
Special guests supporting the distribution of presents across the community included Salford City FC first team players, Foundation 92 partners: First Central, Bupa UK Foundation, Kuits Solicitors, University Academy 92, Clarion Futures (the charitable foundation of Clarion Housing Group), Network Rail, JMW Solicitors, Hotel Football, Tandem Bank, Keolis Amey Metrolink, Natwest, Vital Human Resources and Transport for Greater Manchester.
Foundation 92 would like to thank B&M Stores and campaign partners for donating over 2,000 presents enabling Foundation 92 to enhance its support for the community, making sure more people across Salford and Greater Manchester can have a happy and positive time this Christmas.
Across four days, Foundation 92 delivered presents across the community.
On Monday the 16th of December, Foundation 92 visited the estate surrounding Sale High School with JMW Solicitors, UA92 and Network Rail employees to distribute presents to local families in the area.
On Tuesday the 17th of December, the Foundation visited the estate surrounding the Aquarius Centre in Hulme to give out presents to local residents with Kuits Solicitors, Tandem Bank, UA92, Vital Human Resources and Network Rail employees.
On Wednesday the 18th of December, the Foundation 92 team, Kuits Solicitors, JMW Solicitors, Clarion Futures, Network Rail, Keolis Amey Metrolink, and Transport for Greater Manchester employees at the Sutton estate in Salford to distribute presents to local people including many Clarion residents.
Foundation 92 has worked with Clarion Futures, the charitable foundation of Clarion Housing Group, since its launch in January 2020, helping young residents improve their lives through sport. The charity is based at Clarion’s community centre at the heart of the Sutton Estate in Salford and delivers a range of projects including a Community Ambassador Programme which helps young people develop new skills and drive improvements in the local area.
Finally, on Thursday the 19th of December, Salford City Football Club first team players joined the charity in Little Hulton, Salford to give out presents across the community alongside Network Rail employees.
Throughout the rest of December, Foundation 92 are supporting other young people across the community by delivering free to access Holiday Activity Camps at several locations across Greater Manchester.
Alongside the campaign, Foundation 92 has also supported Salford Foodbank by donating £3,000 worth of Kellogg’s breakfast goods as the Foodbank approaches one of their busiest times of the year.
Prior to the present delivery, Foundation 92 partners and businesses from across Greater Manchester helped to collect and wrap gift donations, that included Salford City Football Club, 1st Central, University Academy 92, Hotel Football Manchester, Kuits Solicitors, Transport for Greater Manchester, Natwest, Keolis Amey Metrolink, Tandem Bank, Vital Human Resources and Bupa UK Foundation.
